could amazon really be so stupid and punish publisher?

i don’t know if this story is true:
Books published by Macmillan mysteriously poofed from Amazon yesterday. The reason, according to the NYT, is that Amazon is punishing the publisher for arguing that the price of Kindle books should go up to $15.
but if it is, i have to say that amazon and bezos is really stupid. [...]

no, the ipad is not like the other tablets, it deserves its own category

in all of the ipad coverage one thing comes up a lot and that is that this new apple device is not all that new … that there have been tablets before, just take a look at the microsoft tablets. but that is like telling the inventor of the car that there are already modes [...]

quick thought on ipad … will be a white collar worker dream device

so my first thought on the apple ipad is that corporate IT departments have 60 days to ready their organizations for the ipad because the key market for the device will be corporate white collar workers.
